About the programme

A master's built at the intersection of statistics, programming and economics.

Applied Data Analytics brings together three ASE departments and a network of international researchers from the UK, Italy and Belgium into a two-year professional programme taught entirely in English.

Manifesto

We live in an economy where data decides: which products launch, who gets a loan, which campaign moves forward, which drug reaches the market.

Those who understand data — not just read it, but model it, interpret it and put it to work — become the people decisions rest on.

ADA gives you the mathematical foundations, technical tools and economic thinking to be one of them.

Programme features

Six decisions that make ADA different.

The programme was built as a professional master's, not a purely academic one — with an emphasis on applicability, flexibility and real international connections.

01

Professional master's

Oriented towards the job market, not just research. Applied curriculum, measurable outcomes.

02

100% taught in English

Courses, materials, admission tests and exams — all in English. Preparation for an international career.

03

41 funded places

Out of 50 total places, 41 are state-funded. The most accessible terms for a top-tier programme.

04

Evening classes

On weekdays, in the evening — designed for those already working or making a professional transition.

05

Visiting professor per semester

In each of the first 3 semesters, a modular course is delivered by a visiting lecturer from the UK, Italy or Belgium.

06

Elective courses

In the first three semesters you partially choose your content: the freedom to specialise in the direction that interests you.

Three departments, one programme

Built together by ASE's most powerful quantitative departments.

ADA is not a programme housed within a single department — it combines statistical, computer science and mathematical expertise from three different ASE Bucharest departments.

Statistics and Econometrics

Rigorous methodological foundation: inference, statistical modelling, applied econometrics, time series analysis.

FSEGA · ASE

Computer Science and Economic Cybernetics

The programme's technical stack: Python, R, SQL, Big Data platforms, information systems, applied Machine Learning.

CSIE · ASE

Applied Mathematics

The quantitative foundations that make the difference: optimisation, equations, mathematical models for economics and finance.

FSEGA · ASE
International network

Three partner universities, every year.

In each of the first three semesters, a course is delivered by a researcher from outside Romania. Plus a permanent partnership with an international econophysics research network.

United Kingdom

London South Bank University
